Before packing, identify what you are shipping: an individual FBS order or a batch for a marketplace warehouse. Then agree on product protection, labels and operations. This guide helps you brief the warehouse and check the result before handing cargo to the carrier.
Product, order and shipment packaging: three levels
An FBS order
A specific customer order is picked. Your instructions need product identifiers, variants, quantities and current order labels. If the order has several packages, account for each during preparation.
An FBO / FBW / FBY batch
Stock is prepared for the platform’s warehouse. Agree separately on individual packaging, allocation of goods to boxes or pallets, and the labels required for that shipment.
A box containing several units and a customer order may look similar, but their picking instructions differ. The overall workflows are explained in our FBS and FBO guide.
How to choose marketplace packaging
Start with the product category, dimensions and condition of its factory packaging. Check the platform’s rules for your sales model, then agree on materials with the warehouse.
For example, Yandex Market’s FBS packaging rules (Russian) distinguish suitable factory transport packaging from branded packaging that requires additional protection. Do not automatically apply this example to another platform or category.
- Bags and films. Discuss protection from moisture and dirt, the closure method and product safety.
- Cardboard packaging. Provide product dimensions, protruding parts and any need for additional protection inside the box.
- Fragile goods and sets. Supply the set contents and product details so protection and secure placement of each component can be agreed.
Shipperty uses bags, cardboard packaging, stretch film, shrink film and bubble wrap according to the product and agreed instructions. The suitable material and whether it is included in the price are determined before work starts.
Product labels, order labels and box identification
Separate three purposes in your instructions: identifying the product and variant; linking a parcel to a customer order; and identifying a box or pallet within a shipment. One sticker does not replace the full set of labels required by the platform.
Provide current files from the seller account and a mapping of each label to its product, order or package. Check print quality, complete barcodes and the absence of folds. Do not edit printed label data by hand; prepare a new file if there is an error.
For FBS, Yandex Market describes individual package labels and placement in its order label instructions (Russian). Remove outdated shipping labels according to platform rules; information and handling signs must remain visible.
Example brief. A batch contains one product in two colors. Specify the quantity for each color and attach the matching labels. “100 units of one product” without variants is insufficient for accurate preparation.
What to send the warehouse before work starts
- Platform and model. Marketplace name, FBS or warehouse model, handoff location and planned date.
- Batch contents. Product identifiers, variants, quantities, dimensions, weights and set contents.
- Packing instructions. Condition of incoming goods, materials, allocation to boxes and protection requirements.
- Labels and data. Current files, their mapping to products and shipments, and the agreed print format.
- Required operations. Whether receiving, storage, picking, repacking or labeling alone is needed.
If some information is not yet available, flag this before sending the batch. The warehouse and seller should agree when final labels will be supplied and who will confirm the instructions.
Dispatch checklist
- Product identifiers, variants and quantities match the instructions and registered order or shipment.
- Packaging is intact, closed and meets the agreed requirements for the goods.
- Labels match the correct products and packages, and barcodes can be read.
- Box count, dimensions and weights reflect the finished packaging.
- The destination, handoff date and required documents or access details are confirmed.
For Wildberries, check your chosen preparation method against its official FBS packaging instructions (Russian). For another sales model, use the help section for that model rather than rules for a different one.

Once cargo is prepared, use the FBS and FBO delivery guide.
Questions and answers
Is factory packaging sufficient?
This depends on the product, packaging condition and the chosen platform’s rules. Before preparing a batch, check whether the factory packaging protects the goods during transportation and whether additional transport packaging is needed.
Where do order or shipment labels come from?
Current labels and data come from the relevant marketplace seller account. Before work starts, agree with Shipperty on file delivery, print format and how labels correspond to products, orders and boxes.
Can I order packing and labeling only?
Yes. Selected operations can be arranged for a ready batch without a full storage and picking service. A quote requires the batch contents, product quantity, packaging and label requirements.
Are materials and delivery included in packing prices?
The material type and whether materials are included in the price are agreed before work starts. Preparation is priced by the selected warehouse operations; marketplace delivery is priced separately by route and cargo details.
Platform instructions linked in this guide should be checked before each shipment. This checklist helps prepare warehouse instructions; product-specific requirements come from the selected marketplace.
