How to send ready FBS orders and FBO shipments to a marketplace

By Shipperty · Updated

Prepared cargo still needs to be handed over correctly. Transportation requires more than boxes and an address: provide the sales model, dispatch date, seller account details and receiving requirements. Use this guide to brief your carrier and check the shipment before departure.

Where FBS orders and FBO shipments go

Use the destination specified in your dispatch or shipment request in the seller account. The nearest warehouse on a map may not accept your cargo. See the FBS vs FBO guide for a workflow comparison.

What to include in your carrier brief

  1. Marketplace and model. Name the platform and specify FBS or a shipment for warehouse storage. “Ozon” or “Yandex Market” alone does not identify the route.
  2. Handoff location. Terminal or warehouse name, exact address and location identifier where provided in your account.
  3. Date and time. Planned date, order handoff deadline or receiving slot. Confirm trip availability first, then agree on the final dispatch details.
  4. Cargo quantity and measurements. Order, package, box and pallet counts; weights and dimensions after packing. Provide separate measurements for groups of differently sized packages.
  5. Readiness and additional work. Cargo location, when it will be ready, and whether collection from your address or warehouse preparation is needed. Arrange these services separately.
  6. Handoff details. Shipment or dispatch number, required documents, access-pass requirements and a contact responsible for coordination.

Labels, documents and access passes

Get current labels and details from the chosen marketplace account. Check that each label matches its order, box or pallet. Changes to shipment contents or package count may require updated data and files.

Confirm required documents and whether they are electronic or printed. If an access pass is needed, agree on the process and required information with the carrier before departure. There is no single document set for every marketplace and sales model.

For example, acts and order handoff are covered in Yandex Market’s FBS instructions (Russian); warehouse, date and time selection are covered in its FBY shipment request instructions (Russian). Check each other platform’s own rules. See the packing and labeling guide for cargo preparation.

Checklist before departure

  • The model, address and date in the seller account match the agreed carrier brief.
  • Orders or the shipment are registered and ready for handoff under the platform’s rules.
  • Actual package count and contents match the dispatch details.
  • Packaging is intact, cargo is ready for transportation, and required labels are applied and readable.
  • Documents are available in the required format and access-pass arrangements are confirmed.
  • The price, cargo readiness time and marketplace handoff plan are confirmed.

If the address, date, weight, package count or readiness changes, notify the carrier before departure. Update your account under the platform’s rules and reconfirm the trip. After handoff, check receiving results and available documents in the marketplace account.

How delivery is priced

A quote needs the destination, cargo format, weights, dimensions and trip conditions. The marketplace delivery rates list warehouse routes and box and pallet transportation terms. FBS pricing is confirmed for the specific handoff location and order details: an FBO warehouse rate does not automatically apply to every FBS drop-off point.

Clarify collection from your address, waiting time, trips outside the regular schedule and returning unaccepted cargo if these services are needed. Agree on their inclusion and price before transportation. Goods preparation uses the warehouse rate table; marketplace commissions and services are accounted for separately.

See the fulfillment cost guide to combine warehouse work and transportation into a budget. Check monetary rates on the current tariff pages.

How to hand over prepared cargo to Shipperty

Arrange FBS order or FBO shipment delivery, then agree on cargo arrival at our warehouse: 10 Avtomobilny Proezd, building 5, Moscow. Use our contacts and directions to plan handoff. Discuss collection from another address separately.

The seller registers the dispatch with the platform and supplies trip details; Shipperty transports the agreed cargo to the specified handoff location. If goods still need picking, packing or labeling, you can also arrange fulfillment and order preparation.

Questions and answers

Can I arrange delivery of prepared cargo only?

Yes. If your orders or shipment are already prepared, transportation can be arranged without storage or picking. Provide the platform, model, handoff location, date and cargo details.

Does an FBO warehouse rate apply to FBS delivery?

Not automatically. FBS pricing is confirmed for the specific drop-off point or sorting center and order details. Check warehouse route rates for the selected shipment.

Who chooses the handoff location and receiving slot?

The seller selects an available handoff location and registers the dispatch in the marketplace account. If a receiving slot is required, agree on the date and time with the carrier before departure.

What if the dispatch address or date changes?

Notify the carrier before departure and update the request and required account details under the platform rules. Then confirm the revised route, date, price and cargo readiness.

Check platform instructions before each dispatch. Confirm the destination, receiving requirements and current carrier terms for your specific shipment.
